The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognized ADHD as a neurobiological disorder that affects children and adults. Despite numerous researches, people still have false beliefs about the disease. Inaccurate information about this disease is doing more harm than good with people not knowing about ADHD by discouraging an individual from seeking help and using effective treatment for ADHD.
