But if another World War would break out with two major alliances then there has to be some sort of ban on autonomous weapons for the safety of civilians. My argument here revolves around international law. A rogue nation like North Korea and a terrorist group like ISIS do not recognize international law and or the Geneva Conventions. These two evil regimes do not have any allies, it is them against the world. The use of military drones would be completely justifiable and should be encouraged against these enemies of the free world. Now in a different case where if there are two major countries or two major alliances at war with each other who both recognize the Geneva Conventions and international law then I think that some kind of ban on autonomous weapons. There should be no ban on autonomous weapons against enemies of the world who do not follow international laws because they are too dangerous to be kept in power and they will do harm to countries who do follow the international laws regarding warfare. If someone were to object to my statement above I would simply state that terrorists groups and countries who have the goal of conquering the world need to be dealt with the harshest way possible. Using autonomous weapons is a deadly and accurate way to kill enemies without putting the lives in danger of the country using the autonomous weapons. Now I would take a slightly different stance on the ban of autonomous weapons if two countries who follow the Geneva Conventions and international law. No civilians could be targeted and if any civilian would be killed purposely by an autonomous weapon then a war crime should be carried out. Countries who respect the laws should also respect civilian’s
