The problem was somewhat lessened with recycling;however we cannot recycle everything. Everyone has those days where you 're too full to eat more and you don 't take a second thought about the rest of the food remains so the only solution is to discard the food. Without realizing it, you have thrown away perfectly good food. Food is a major item that is thrown away and sometimes the food is not even bad. A big misconception of this is a food items expiration date. Most foods are good past their expiration date. An expiration date is the timeline where a food item could stay in the store. Now you may be wondering how can food relate to homelessness and here is the answer; homeless people could not afford food. Therefore throwing away perfectly good food is a waste. My promotion is that we could find a way to separate the good food from the bad food. If we were to do this we could lessen the amount of waste. With this i say we should monitor the conditions of everyone so that we know when someone is in need of assistance. Our country is diverse and has many different people, a part of these people are homeless people. We should find a way to take care of the waste of food by separating the good food from the bad, we should fix up abandoned homes and transform them into a place where homeless people could build themselves up, and lastly monitor the conditions of all the people in our country to make sure we put homelessness to an end. At the start of our country, the main reason why people wanted to come to this country was to have their freedom and live out their own dream. Unlike most people, the homeless do not have that advantage and spend their lives trying to figure out where their next meal will come from and where they plan on sleeping. These are things that we don’t really take account of. We should find a way to aid these people and bring them back up to live out their “American
