I want to respond to the essay “On dumpster diving” by Lars Eighner. Lars became homeless after he lost his job at a hospital in 1988. He tells his experiences on dumpster diving and how it works. He breaks down how to find food that you can eat, what you should look for in finding good food. For example usually canned foods are good to eat. He also talks about the emotional side to dumpster diving like how most divers try to avoid being seen by people to avoid the embarrassment so they try to do it at night. He talks about some items that were acquired from the dumpsters or seen that makes him think.
