Death And Suicide In Lauren Oliver's Before I Fall

Suicide deaths have reached many families all over the world with clusters of people trying to put a end to this depressed topic. The subject of death and suicide is very touchy and Lauren Oliver goes about it the right and informing way in her book Before I Fall . Oliver spoke out about her style of writing saying that “I believe in thinking about audience reaction as composing” -Lauren Oliver (Anonymous 11). She wants the readers to know this when writing this book to show her dedication and writing process.Continuing with this thought the characters in Before I Fall, reveal her connection with the reader. Oliver does this by introducing characters that change throughout the novel. Sam, an overpowering character, must develop to better herself over the course of the novel to determine that life is worth living.
