We as a nation are moving towards more of economic based policy. Both candidates argued against trade deals such as TPP and stressed the idea of building the United States domestics jobs market rather then losing jobs to the global market. Donald Trump continues this rant with talks about entering into a trade war with China, Mexico, and any other nation that is deem a threat to the United States market. Trump either concessional or un-concessional realizes that the new from of war isn’t with soft policy or guns/nuclear bombs its fought with check books and trade agreements. But my concern with all this let’s attack their pockets talk is, is it worth it? Because this trade war attack would just be one way, it would be come back at us in equal if not not harder strength. Donald Trumps strategies would not be the most logical or best route in demonstrating to other world powers that the United States is the world power. It would angry both enemies and allies. There cannot be this winner and loser mentality in the realm of global politics. There has to this hybrid notion of learning from our past, analyzing the present details and be willing to have a give and take in order to the reach goals we have set out to do. Unlike Hillary Clinton with her warhawk political tendencies from her security of state will more likely just to carry over. The major concern that is related to the text is the idea of over engagement.
