Adderall is combination drug of stimulants, amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, which are used in this medicine to treat people with Attention Deficit/ Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD). It is a total treatment plan for psychological and social disorders and other treatments. Adderall may help to increase the ability to pay attention, concentrate, stay focused and stop moving so frequently. Like any other thing or medicine, too much is never good. People should only take certain medicines if and only if they are diagnosed with a disorder or disease and they are given a prescription for a medicine to treat them. People misuse drugs too often. If students are receiving drugs from their friends or people off the streets they don’t know what they are using or what has been mixed with the drugs. Drug misusage can cause damage that can’t be fixed or it can be deadly. Of course most people would ask the question, why would you take prescription drugs that aren’t prescribed to you? Or why would you take drugs from someone off the street? Often time’s people think just because one person is doing something or using a certain type of drug that gives them a great effect that it will do the same for them too, wrong! Everyone’s body is different. The young adults that having been consuming this drug say that it helps them stay focus and improve their attention span. Little do they know the long term effects and side effects of using Adderall. Once a person starts using a drug for a while, they tend to not be able to function without the drug or need something stronger because of the ongoing usage. The side effects of Adderall are very serious. If a person has not been diagnosed and is using a medicine as serious as Adderall they are putting their life in serious danger. In the article, according to the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, emergency visits went up a sky rocketing amount by almost 156 percent. That is unbelievable!
