In order for a foreign person to survive living in America they will have to get a job. Foreigners who usually get jobs in America are less likely to get the same jobs that they had in the country that they used to live in, because the degree that they got in their country may not meet the requirements of the degrees in America. Foreigners will have to either go back to college or accept a lower paying job. Immigrants who have not yet adjusted to the American clothing and language will find it hard to get a decent paying job, because people will judge them from their first impression based on how they look and then on their skills and education level based on how they speak. I find it sad that foreigners have a lot against them when living in America. America is supposed to be the melting pot where every different person, culture, and race is accepted. Yet in American society there is racial/gender discrimination and government corruption. The sad part is that so many foreigners risk their life to get into America only to have to deal with all of the things that are going against them. Foreigners and even Americans are blind/asleep to what is really going on in America. I also find it sad that foreigners see the United States as an amazing place to live, yet America is showing foreigners as bad people. My parents had to face a lot of obstacle when they came from Nigeria. One of the obstacles that they had to face was realizing the color of their skin was a disadvantage. In Nigeria everyone pretty much comes from the same culture and has the same skin color so race issues never really existed, until my parents came to the United States. They realized that people would look at them weird or not treat them the same as everyone else. My parents had to learn to adjust and find ways to not be judge for their skin color. I honestly cannot imagine what it must had been like for my parents to leave their home country for a new foreign country. I feel like in the end people can only enjoy living in America
