Wise is he who knows that the trouble he is facing now is not a curse for him; it’s a shower of blessing to develop himself. It is our lack of knowledge that leads us to panic and worries, but if we stop for a while and think about the situation again, we will see that the situation we are facing now, which seems as misfortunes, often it becomes the time we remember and laugh the most.

The general term of measuring happiness by us is to measure the amount of asset we have, but assets can not measure real happiness, if the asset is the main reason behind happiness, then people with enough prosperity would not be unhappy.

It is not because that they made a bad judgment or they made a lot of mistakes, but because we lack peace in ourselves, in our soul. A soul that is complete and living without any worries has fewer chances to be angry with others, as he knows that anger is not a way to protest, it is just a sign of weakness.

One of my favorite Epicurus lessons is the above one, as it suggests us to make a little change in our lifestyle. It gives us a hint that the source of happiness and completeness of our soul comes from our thoughts, the way we produce it if you decide to renounce your gossip tendencies and replace it with higher thoughts if you talk about the philosophy in place of food, assets, and gadgets.
