Putting mindfulness to use in scientific terms is somewhat a relatively new concept these past generations. There have been studies done to complement what this book hightlights in regards to meditation. One of these include a studies states, “Mindfulness-informed programs share several underpinning theoretical ideas with MBPs, and many include some mindfulness meditation practice in their approach” (Crane et al., 2017, p. 991). This correlates with many of the Habits included with in the book, specifically Habits, 11,20,68, and 71 which are titled, Practice Morning Meditation, Practice Family Meditation, Practice Walking Meditation, Practice Sleep Meditation. It changes our thinking in how we look at things, how we react to things, and how we be mindful in talking to people. I have started to implement these techniques in daily life and I found it useful. By doing these simple interventions has brought me closer to my family and work colleagues. I am less stressed about things and allow extra time in the morning to practice some of these meditation rituals I have learned which helps me mentally and keeps me on task better. I allow myself time to take inventory of how I am feeling in the moment because I am more aware of myself now and truly I think that is what this book was meant to
