Chemical characteristics?

Most common chemical compounds include:calcium and magnesium(hardness) iron(ferrous and ferric) and manganese. Sulphur. Sodium and gases(oxygen,co2,h2s,ch4)

Water pollutants?

Organic pollutants: produced from biological activity I.e. decay of plant life, dead animals, human and animal waste.


Inorganic polutants: minerals, salts, etc. Metals like mercury, lead, arsenic and calcium are examples of inorganic pollutants.
