Africa in the Era of Expansion

The Europeans controlled in attempted to alter the lands in lines of Africans before the last quarter of the 19th century. The Europeans did not settle in South Africa. In the late 18th century the European's were prevented from expanding after coming across numerous advanced bantu people in northern and Eastern Africa. They also found that islam became a setback to their expedition.

Japan in Southeast Asia in the era of European expansion

After a century of war in Japan, three men arose in the 16th century and re-created a centralized government. By the 1630s Japan was rapidly isolated from the world under the shogunate. Massive social changes occurred and the feudal political structure had not changed during this time. The samurai slowly declined. The population increased drastically in the economy prospered as well as Japanese art and literature.

From conquest to colonies in Hispanic America

A new society was created by the Iberian conquest. This society consisted of Native Americans, Iberians, and Africans. As the conquerors and explorers became colonists, they replace the Aztec and Inca masters at the top of the Socio economic ladder. Missionaries tried to protect Indian charges into convert them to Christianity. Only a few people question the morality of importing slaves. Many Europeans eventually settled in America yet remain far outnumbered by the native Indians and blacks. Around the 17th century the Spanish made an economical and political revival in Latin America.
