• bronze color of skin, inability to retain salt and h2o , weight loss, dehydration
• ETIO-many causes: disease, tumor, infection
• dx-adrenal calcification (seen on x-ray)

• leads to hyperglycemia which causes body to metabolize fats which leads to ketone bodies in blood and urine
