Suicide it affects us all, doesn’t it? Isnt it the 10th leading cause of death? It is. Suicide has been on the rise since 1987. Girls at young ages are at higher risk and there are thousands of deaths per year due to suicide.

I will be arguing the importance of suicide prevention. I will prove that it is important prevent suicide due to suicide being the highest it’s been in 25 years, bullying and how it leads to suicide and warning signs and how you can help prevent suicide

Suicide occurs twice as much as homicides do and occurs more than car accidents. A good way to help people or yourself is to set up a coping plan a plan to help you deal with thoughts of suicide such as friends to talk to or a favorite thing to do.Another thing you can do help prevent suicide is to help friends that you know have thoughts of suicide.These ways can help you prevent suicide in your school.

Life expectancy rates increased by .01% and


suicide rates increasd 2.4% last year in 2014. One reasons scientist think suicide has gone up is due to economic times. Suicide also increased in the 2007-2009 recession.

Scientists believe that there is a strong link between suicide and bullying. Suicide mostly affects young girls between the ages 10-14. There at least 4,400 recorded suicidal deaths per year. Most parents believe suicide is "just part of being a kid", but 30% of students are either bullies or victims of bullying ,and 160,000 kids stay home from school in fear of being bullied.
