Repression -Threatening thought blocked from the mind.
Projection -Person’ ’s own unacceptable feelings are repressed and then attributed to someone else. Denial- Refusal to admit that something unpleasant as to show wellness or invulnerability Sublimation- A form of displacement in which sexual urges are re channeled in to productive, nonsexual activities. Displacement- When people direct their emotions against objects, people or animals, to get rid of the emotion. |

Reaction/Formation- Acting in a way that is the opposite of impulsive behavior. Rationalization- Attempting to justify actions with logic to skirt admitting their carnal desires. Regression- When a person reverts to a previous phase of past state of mind. |
