My book is called Monster. The name of the author is Walter Dean Myers. The genre of the book is a drama.

The main character, Steve Harmon, is in a lot of trouble. He could spend 25 years to life in prison, as he is on trial for murder. He knows he is innocent but nobody else seems to think so.

This book prepared me for high school by conveying a story with a more advanced reading level.

I think the moral of the story is to believe in yourself and always tell the truth because if you lie you will always suffer the greatest consequences, which is shown in the book.

One thing I didn't like was how it was written as screenplay. I think it would be better if the book was written in third person instead.

In my own opinion the last part of the book was definitely the best because of the ending and the epilogue. I would recommend this to people whoo enjoy hard reads, and not all of them would enjoy it.
