What is the definition of a DMC?

A destination management company is a local service organization that provides creative itineraries, resources and logistics management based on an in-depth knowledge of a particular destination. DMCs specialize in providing local support for multi-day, multi-group logistics, or assisting with a single element of an event.

How does the DMC work with the planner?
|
Becomes an extension of the team - takes responsibility for the selection and contracting of vendors. Planner benefits from the DMC's familiarity with each vendor's products.

What are the core services of a DMC?
|
Transportation, special events, and group activities.
Can assist with all or some special event elements: venue, theme, decor, AV, catering, entertainment. Also provide staffing for registration and meeting support. |
