2. Impairment in social/occupational functioning 3. Can have psychotic features 4. 3/7 or 4/7 symptoms if irritable -Distractibility -Insomnia -Grandiosity -Flight of ideas -Activity/agitation (increase in goal-directed) -Speech (pressured) -Thoughtlessness (pleasurable activities) |

Hypomanic episode
|
1. Period of abnormally elevated, expansive, irritable mood lasting 4+ days.
2. No impairment in social/occupational functioning 3. No psychotic features 4. 3/7 or 4/7 symptoms if irritable |
