Ankylosing spondylitis

Sero negative chronic inflammatory disorder primarily affecting spine and SI joint and secondarily hip knee shoulder etc

COPD

Type of obstructive lung disease characterized by chronically poor airflow output which typically worsens over time.

Chronic Bronchitis

Chronic/recurrent increase above the normal in the volume of mucus secretion sufficient to cause expectoration when this is not due to localized bronchi pulmonary disease.

Emphysema

Is a condition of lung characterized by permanent dilatation of air spaces distal to terminal bronchioles with destruction of walls of these airways.

Cerebral Palsy

Is a disorder of posture and movement that occurs secondary to damage to immature brain before during or after birth .


Also called static encephalopathy.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Is a non supparative systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause characterized by symmetrical poly arthritis affecting peripheral joints and extra articular structures.

CVA

Sudden onset of neurological signs and symptoms resulting from a disturbance of blood supply to the brain.

Buegers disease

An inflammatory vasculopathy characterized by an inflammatory endarteritis that causes a prothombotic state and subsequent vaso occlusive phenomenon.

Stills disease

Juvenile chronic polyarthritis which could be systemic polyarticular and oligoarticular


Lung abscess

Is localized formation of a pus usually surrounded by fibrous capsule within the lung tissue

Bronchiectasis

Abnormal dilatation of bronchi associated with obstruction and infection.

Atherosclerosis

Is hardening and narrowing of arteries secondary to formation of plague on arterial walls


Plague causes narrowing of arterial walls and diminishes amount of blood supply in it.

Hypotension

Is the state when BP falls in the body below considerable normal limits.


Manifests when it gets 90/60 mm where as normally it is 120/80 mm

Embolism

Is a a wandering object which flows in the blood stream after dislodging from source/origin blocked blood vessel and obstruct blood vessel in a distant site to cause partial/complete blockage of arterial blood vessel.

Aneurysm

Dilatation of wall of artery forming a sac in communication with that vessel.


Abnormal blood filled bulge of a blood vessel specially an artery resulting from weakening of vessel wall.

Gangrene

Is a form of tissue death(necrosis) secondary to lack of oxygen rich blood in the tissues.


The tissues die due to lack of oxygen.
