What is the relationship between your calling to walk worthy of the gospel and your calling to be a faithful student right now?
Our calling right now is to be a student at Covenant College, and in order to to fulfill our calling later in life we must fulfill our calling now to share the gospel as a student.

People tend to want to apply scripture to things in their lives that do not necessarily fit the context or the time period in which that scripture was written. We should look at the time and place in which the text was written and make sure that the text is appropriate to apply to our lives.

Vocation is embedded in Jesus Christ. We should do everything for Jesus, including our vocations. Our vocations are to further the Kingdom of God.

Vocations do not just include our jobs, but everythig we do to work or volunteer for Christ and His kingdom.
What implications are there in our identity as Christians in America for relating to people from other countries and cultural tradtitions?
We should remember that we are a monochromic, individualist society and that everyone in the world does not have the same views on time and concept of self.
Why does the Church need artists?
The Church needs artists because everything that God created is worthy of representation in art. Art allows us to see and appreciate God’s creation and its beauty.
What is the difference between "big C" calling and "little C" calling?
Little c calling is the everyday callings in our lives, that make up our Big C calling in the future

He considers someone that has knowledge in many differnt things and can apply it from the Bible and not just good at one vocation educated
What does McDougall mean by "read BIG," and why does he urge it regarding the Bible?
1. Read large chunks of Scripture
2. God’s Word only makes sense in the context of where it comes from
What role should the Bible play in producing or guiding Christian scholarship?
As Holmes says, we should be able to have knowledge in the Bible so that we can have good Godly morals to be able to think through things and make wise decsions.
Why does Conelius Platinga discuss the fall?
Because we are all affected by the sin nature within us since the fall, and we need God to save that from us and He did with His Son Jesus
What did Professor Davis intend by the term "worldview" and why does he think it matters?
Enable us to tell the story of our lives
1) To narrate our existence
2) To see how our own story fits in the BIG STORY (the matanarrative)

fundamentally about prayer and living by the grace of God through His son Jesus. He focuses it this way b/c our theology is really good because we clearly acknowledge the sovereignty of God and our sinfulness

Because both principles are at work in us. Because people run everything and since we have the antithesis in us it is shown in everything we do.
Why does Dr. Morris think that it is OK for Christians to disagree about scientific theories?
Because God does not give exact answers to everything, and it is how we read and interpret the scripture.
What implications are there in our identity as Christians in America for relating people from other countries and cultural traditions?
We must respect their traditions and not offend them with how we treat them, so maybe they will see how we act and ask questions and maybe convert them.
Does gender make a difference in our conception of the Christian mind and faithful responses to culture?
No, we should all work together to fulfill what God wants and gender shouldn't make a difference as long as we are fulfilling what he wants.
