Pltn commander, if not available, than P/S pct of occ UMOS DUTIES: -notify P/S and D/O -have witness wait for Supv and on-duty Aux coordinator -remain on scene with APO, unless hospitalized/police action needed P/S duties: -interview APO -remove all property (radios, shield/ID from APO -have APO prepare WCD23, (if unable to do the form than P/S will do it ) and submit to pct CO -personally prepare PAR (mv104AN) if veh collision involved. Have aided prepare if no veh Desk officer duties: -make C/L entry and notify: - investigating supv (always) -operations (always) -aux police section supv(always) -APO permanent command if not assigned to pct of occ -CO/DC (only if DOA OR LIKELY TO DIE) -patrol boro commander (only if DOA) Investigating Supv duties: -interview APO and report to D/O without delay -notify ops if going to hospital and update ops again -interview witnesses and have them prepare witness form -do 49 and forward to PCT CO -prepare TRI as appropriate Aux PO coordinator duties: - prepare TRI interaction -send all report to aux police section within 10 days , including 49 ** CO/DC will be Investigating Supv if aux po sustain serious injury, likely to die or dies |

3 to 5 minutes UMOS Duties: -request ems and render aid to suspected overdose victim -if victim is unresponsive, administer naloxone, if appropriate -request central to notify responding ems personnel that naloxone was administered - request P/S to respond and notify det sqd -if umos administer naloxone , complete the New York State public safety public naloxone quality improvement usage report P/S duties: -If victim has died, or likely to die or naloxone was administered, request DET SQD -request ECT to process scene for evidence -prepare 49 address to Chief of Dept for fatal overdose Desk officer duties: -notify co/DC , Operations unit, patrol borough -obtain naloxone log # from operations division -review naloxone report and email to the operation division |
