In the year 2012, there were at least 2.7 million kids being bullied. Out of the 2.7 million kids that were being bullied, 2.1 million of the kids were in the process of being bullied and 282,000 were being attacked. There are many types of bullying that occurs. But the main source of bullying tends to be cyber bullying. In today’s society people do not understand how bad bullying affects the economy. Not only does it affect the economy it also affects the future of the children today. The reason why it affects the economy is because bullying causes kids to skip and miss school. Another mental thought a Child gets is running away. The reason each one tends to run away is because of the feelings each one gets. This feeling affects that person to the point of thoughts to leave out of the misery or keep living in the misery (U.S 27).
The last topic is the self-confidence of a child that is being bullied. For example bullying tends to put others down and out about themselves. When people do that, it makes the person’s self-confidence down. It also brings the person’s grades diminish. The reason why is because that person is always worried about being bullied in the classroom instead of focusing on everyday school work and other activities. Another way it can affect a person’s self-confidence down is by the way that person eats. The reason the people who get bullied let it affect them and their eating habits is because that person is always worried about what will happen to themselves that day and future days to come(U.S 27).
The way a child acts towards others directly reflect on the child parents. A parent, when they have a child is to raise them with morals and standards and to treat them and others with respect. If the parent of a child is rude in his or her daily life, then the children will also think that they can act the same way which tends to lead to bullying.
