He did not find comfort in religion and was known as in atheist, a revolutionist and a hibertine. Shelley’s life was definitely not the easiest sadly after a bunch of family issues, he was denied rights to his two children. A girl and boy, Clara and William who later died in Italy. After the divorce of his first wife Harriet Westbrook Shelly remarried to Mary Wollstonecraft. Who later had four more children, but three of the four died either prematurely or after child birth, leaving his only son, Percy Florence Shelley. Through these troubles in his life he was able to construct his best works from these dastardly experiences like one of his famous works “Mutability”. “Man’s yesterday may ne’er be like hers nought may endure but mutability” (Percy Bysshe Shelley). She was an English novelist, short story writer, dramatic, essayist, biographer, and travel writer. She was best known for her gothic novel “Frankenstein”, the modern Prometheus. He father “William Godwin” was a political philosopher, her mother “Mary Wollstonecraft was also a philosopher, but was also a feminist and an activist for women’s rights. After the death of her mother, her father Godwin took her with him and later one of her neighbors became her new stepmom. She married a Percy Bysshe Shelley in eighteen- sixteen. She spent a lot of her time editing her husband’s work who was a romantic poet and philosopher. She of course like most women got pregnant, but sadly her daughter died pre maturely. By eighteen-sixteen she tried for more kids since the death of her baby. She managed to have two, but just as the world is cruel they both died before giving birth, leaving him with only one surviving child, Percy Florence Shelley. In eighteen twenty-two her husband drowned when his sailboat sunk during a storm. A year later she returned to England and devoted herself to taking care of her son and continued her career as a professional author. The last decade of her life she was sick and later died of a brain tumor at the age of fifty-three in eighteen fifty-one. Until the nineteen seventies she was known mainly for her efforts to publish her husband’s work and her novels. Mary Shelley’s work often
