There are many different forms of diseases, illnesses, or viruses being spread around today with many different forms. One such virus has been spreading like wildfire and that virus is known as Zika. This is another virus spread by mosquitos, just like dengue fever. Mosquitos usually breed near warmer climate areas, more clustered in the south or in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, the Zika virus seems to be spreading more than just in those areas. The virus might also be spreading towards the United States. Zika seems to be going on an invasion and it may be more hurtful to health than people think. This paper will go on to inform about the Zika virus, what it is, its symptoms, the spreading of the virus, how to treat it, and other vital information related to the virus. Using various sources of information to best describe the invasion of the Zika virus. Also mentioning the effects that it can have besides the original symptoms that it causes.

Most viruses have symptoms that are linked to them, thus making them easier to identify. The Zika virus, as written by the CDC (2016) sometimes doesn’t show any symptoms. This can lead to people not even knowing if they’ve been infected. They could have it and easily pass it along to others by having sex, or a mother can pass it along to its fetus. The symptoms that Zika does show are “fever, rash, joint pain, or conjunctivitis” (CDC 2016). These symptoms can be easily thought of as being something else. It can be confused with allergies or a cold or normal everyday illnesses. With this information, it can be seen that Zika isn’t a deadly virus, it’s a pretty tame virus.
