Later, on September 25, 1925, Frida and Alejandro, were injured in a near fatal bus accident. The couple went on a walk, one rainy afternoon, little did they know this walk would change everything. The bus they were riding on was hit by an oncoming trolley. This resulted in multiple fractures to Frida, including her back, leg, pelvis, and foot. She became an inspiration to many people. Since her death, a museum was created in her honor. The Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City is located in her old house where she grew up and eventually died. Inside her childhood home, there are many of her personal belongings, along with some of her paintings.
