For centuries now and many more to come, women have impacted such strong change through accomplishments that have been recognized due to their gender. Over time, the number of women who have joined extreme groups to prove feminism occurs in social status’ to the workplace has increased. Louisa May Alcott, an American novelist and poet was the author to many pieces from fairytales to thrillers, but is remembered as the author who suddenly woke up in the limelight of fame. Growing up Louisa witnessed many defeats to succeed accounted for by her father , leading her family to poverty. In 1848, she began writing for a publication in New York and received sums of money, however she stopped writing until the amounts of money increased, she suggested $100 and it was agreed on. For a long time she had kept her name a secret while publishing because she believed it would help keep her pieces of writing to minimum publications. On September 30th, 1868 Little Women was published and became a huge hit. It had been based on the Alcott’s family poverty but was romanticized with drama and juvenile behaviors. Little Women had been the success story, the reason for Alcott’s fame. She had accomplished her dream of stabilizing finances for her family with this best seller and continued to use her writing to further her success story. A Story of Experience , a novel written in 1873 which can very much relate to Louisa growing up. The novel is about a young girl living in poverty who supports herself in way that Louisa did such as , seamstress and a domestic servant. She then related one of her novels Transcendental Wild Oats (1874) to her father and his failure with the vegetarian community.
