The book, is written in a third person point of view, but the story is seen through a character named Winston. I would see Winston’s thoughts, emotions and feelings in the words even though he isn't telling the story. Reading all of Winston’s emotions really helped me connect with his character. Even though I haven't lived in a world will feelings are banned, the description of the feelings of Winston made me understand what he was going through. Although, I will never fully understand how he felt about the “love is against the law” law because I never was in his position, I could understand why he would want to break that law and fall in love. Usually when someone is kept away from something or someone, the urge to meet that certain someone or try that something (like food or an activity)
