Explain: In other words, this poem made me realize and question how difficult it was for a parent to take care of a child who is either sick or dying. The author is trying to tell us about his sorrow and despair, knowing his daughter has some disease that is slowly killing the girl. The author has no desire for daughter and even wants to have any. I think that when the author was writing "For My Daughter" he was envisioning about his child, however he thought that it was preferable not to have any child because of the poor medicine during that time.
