Waste materials are not recycled enough in California. Californians keep littering the aluminums, metals, and plastics over the places; hence, this cause the waste disposals, deforestation, and water pollutions. While the pollution continues to affect the lives of Californians, the underlying question is: do we have a single patriotic Californian who thinks going green to liberate California out of this predicament? According to the two authors, Richard H. Thaler and Cass. R. Sunstein’s book titled Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness, a nudge is clearly needed; the action “alters people’s behavior in a predicable way without forbidding any options or significantly changing their economic incentives” (6). What must be done to ensure a more eco-friendly system suitable for Californians? Indeed, the only appropriate solution to an environmental crisis is to introduce a group of children to recycle the waste materials. Recycling is the most viable solution to the environment-based issues in California that have steadily threatened the lives of Californians. Introducing the group of children named Little Green, who creates a special activity called, “Little Green’s Recycling Day” when it celebrates only four times per year. The significant role of Little Green is to educate an eco-awareness to Californians that they need to recycle.
