First to start off composting a garden, a bin is needed. With this bin it will allow worms and other beneficial organisms to aerate the compost, keep the process neater, and keep away animals. Secondly, fill the bin with balanced mixtures that are high in Nitrogen, such as weeds(before they develop seeds), grass clippings, fruit scraps, coffee grounds, etc. These items are good for activating the heat process in your compost helping retain heat and moisture. Thirdly, water. The compost pile should be damp. Depending on the weather/climate, adding water directly varies or rely on the moisture of the items in the compost pile. Fourthly, check the temperature of the compost pile manually. A way to do this is by checking to see if the pile is hot, if so, the materials are decomposing. Unfortunately, if the items are the same temperature as the surrounding air, add more materials to the bin. Fifth, mix the pile together. Doing this lets the materials in the bin come into contact, avoiding large clumps. Lastly, turn the pile regularly, this helps adds oxygen to the pile which are one the essentials for the process to …show more content…

The green infrastructure to be provided needs to be well thought-out and planned to obtain maximum impact. Green infrastructure is made up of corridors, patches and overall matrix. Corridors can contribute to flood storage, also can small patches, although to a lesser extent. Both the matrix and patches can add to rainwater infiltration, especially on sandy, faster infiltrating soils. This suggests that there might be a case for restricting landfill development on these types of soil because of the contribution they can make to rainwater infiltration if they are kept as green spaces.…

Shade cultivation also enhances the flavour of the coffee as less agrochemicals are used and it is the traditional way to grow it. Some trees should be left for migrating birds and the only trees that should be removed are ones that cause serious issues or problem for the coffee producers. Doing so will decrease soil erosion, salinity and degradation. It will also increase the biodiversity of the region because more animals will inhabit the plants and the plants filter water and air, storing carbon and restoring soil nutrients.…
