In fact, a major influx of refugees into a certain country does increase the likelihood of civil war and transnational conflict. In terms of domestic conflict, refugees can disturb the balance of power both economically and politically; therefore, giving rise to domestic instability. Furthermore, according to their study, refugee camps are very likely to give rise to radicalization of refugees due to limited resources, lack of mobility, poor conditions and even fear of uncertain future or hopelessness. In the refugee camps, refugees suffer from poor sanitation, a lack of appropriate sheltering and resources such a clean water supply and food. Thus, given the poor conditions at the level of proper sanitation and the lack of clean living conditions, the refugees are faced with the dire reality of hopelessness and will often result to violence in completion for sufficient sources. In response to this state of dire panic, one often looks for extreme measures to escape the maze by yelling for help and even by attempting to climb the walls of the maze as a drastic measure to escape.
