By the burning of the church the tribe saw everything that they were taught by their ancestors burned to the ground and turned to ashes. This also ties back to the fact that the lack of understanding between the remainder of the tribe can be noticed as the only thing splitting them apart. All that is needed is a talk. A talk to work out issues and become a part of something that they can be proud of and accept together. The church was the center of the missionaries religion, the center of what they were trying to force upon the tribe. The burning of the church showed them that they were no longer a threat. This turning point allowed for the missionaries’ disruptions to become less of an issue and was a point in time that started to tip back into the tribes’ favor. Upon arriving into this world we are always told what to do and how to do it. This being said I feel as though we as a species need to be pushed around a little bit to stand true in the things that we believe in. In Things Fall Apart, written by Chinua Achebe this stand s true. With the invasion of white missionaries into a tribe in Nigeria many boundaries were being crossed.
