Prefabrication has been used since ancient times. We can see that The Romans use prefabricated building elements to build their forts quickly and efficiently in newly conquered Britain in AD 43. But, as Herbers describes; the prefabrication as a word that describes building typology was not considered important before the 1930s. After that, it started to gain a seat in the building typology when the business of making building components show up in the substantial industry, and prebabrication technique has existed for millenniums.
