My preventive program, will be the group therapy 's type, and will be actually based on the decriminalization of the youth in the lower class comunities of Omaha, for example the North Omaha district.

My preventive practice will try to work with the group, who are capable to drop the delinquency. Subsequently it won 't concern the chronic gangs offeners.

As, I already pointed out, my favorite criminological and behavioral theorist, is Mr A. Cohen.
In his theory, of delinquant subculture and his book “Delinquant boys “ (1955), he pointed out that youth engage in crime in seek of personnal social status, as a result of their own "American Dream" failure , he investigated the character of criminal behavior in lower-class urban areas. The study which led him build the delinquent subculture of youth.

Finaly, he underlined that it is very easy to criminalize youth but the paths to decriminalization are not so easy to come by.
Consequently I will develop my preventional program based on the theory of A. Cohen and his approach to non-professional, urban, youth delinquency.
In his theory Albert K. Cohen (1955) did not look at the economically oriented career criminal, but looked at the delinquency subculture, focusing on gang delinquency among low class youth in ghetto areas. His work developed a distinctive culture as a response to their perceived lack of economic and social opportunity within U.S. Society.
