Analysis Of Sebastian's Four Different Identity Tasks

A teenager has four different identity statutes of development. Each category differs according to the presence or absence of a crisis and commitment. According to Marcia, Sebastian is in the identity achievement stage as he has resolved his identity crisis. He has also showed commitment to his choices after exploring his alternatives, and has given a lot of thought to major issues in his life. For example, when Sebastian was 12 years old, he used to played in the after-school instrument program, but as time went by he started to practice less and less. Now the poor instrument has joined the rest of the unused stuff in my garage, as he did not want to continue pursuing music. However, I have notice that when he is around his friends, he becomes a total different person. One of the things that I have started to realize is that when he is near his friends he starts to argue with me about curfew or about things that I do not allowed him to do with his friends. He also tries to break the house rules in order to look “cool” around his friends.
Sebastian’s friends have also played an important part in his school achievement because he has surrounded himself with friends that have the same achievements and academic desires. Overall, I think that his friends have helped his self-esteem as he now feels accepted by his new

His grades have certainly reflected his improvement as well as the enthusiasm and interest in the subjects of science, math, English and social studies. For example, this year Sebastian was able to take Honors English and American History on the basis of his 10th grade record. He also got an A in Spanish II and plans to take AP Spanish, English and World History in 12th grade. He also received A 's in both Algebra II and Physics, and because of these grades, Sebastian Chavez is eligible for AP Physics and Chemistry in 12th grade. Some career options that he might find interesting in the future would be to become a doctor or a historian as he enjoys science, reading and culture.

On the other hand, I have seen that Sebastian has grown an interested for the arts since he entered high school, and his grades reflected the enthusiasm and interest that he has put in all of his artwork. For example, this past year Sebastian got an A 's in all his fine arts classes and has entered many paintings and several photographs in a countywide art fair. Some career options that he might find interesting in the future in this area would be architecture, engineering or a graphic design as he has a lot of
