I/ Introduction:
This paper was commissioned by Ms Xiang Gao, a lecture at International Pacific College (IPC). Its purpose is to examine and analyse the conflict between Palestine and Israel in Middle East.
The conflict between Israel and Palestine can be considered the most intractable conflict in the world. This conflict has been started since the late 19th and the early 20th centuries. Israel is the country, which is the only Jewish state in the world. It locates in the East of the Mediterranean Sea in Asia. Palestine is a state in the Middle East, which was declared independence in 1988. It locates in West Bank and Gaza Trip in the Western Asia. The Israel – Palestine conflict was begun from the religious differences and territory conflict. The area, which has been disputed, was divided into three sectors: The Gaza Trip, the State of Israel and the West Bank after 1949. The territory conflict is known as the ‘’Holy Land’’, which is a small area-over 10.000 square miles, by the two religions in Israel and Palestine. Therefore, the Jewish in Israel and the Palestinian are trying to fight and protect their area.
This report is going to analyse the conflict between Israel – Palestine and how to apply the theory of international relations on this conflict.
