Lucien P Smith is a large African-American man in his 50s has the severest case of mental disability, is the most-childish of the four men and has a very hard time with verbalization. He struggles with comprehending information and processing information too. Norman Bulansky is the romantic one out of the group and works part-time at a doughnut shop and since they get free donuts he has gained a lot of weight, Norman meets a girl Sheila that is handicapped too and she tells him that he’s fat. Norman has an odd obsession with having a bundle of keys around his waist even though they don't really have any use or open anything in particular. Barry enters the living room area and tells the boys about how he has began teaching golf lessons because he thinks he’s a pro golfer and is doing it for a pretty cheap amount. Then the boys try catching a “rat” which ends up being the neighbor’s daughter’s pet hamster and they try to catch it and they succeed but they don’t know what to do with it afterwards so they decide to flush it down the toilet and try to blind the rat by turning the lights …show more content…
He is frequently abused by his co workers and is often too afraid to stand up for himself or speak up. One of his habits is always saying the word “nyet” which is no in Russian and is always saying that he’s going to run away to Russia. Lucien P. Smith has the most severe mental disabilities of the four men, he is a large African-American male, he cannot read but begins to checkout books at the library about American Agriculture and enjoys looking at the words and the pictures. He has a peculiar habit of always resisting the alphabet whenever something is going on. He has to go in front of the State Sneck and Lucien is at risk for losing his disability funds because they think that he is faking his disability. His hobbies is reading books about Agriculture. Next, Norman Bulansky is a middle age man and struggles with being overweight, because he works at a Doughnut Shop and the employees want to make him feel normal and welcomed by constantly sending him the leftover doughnuts to take home. One of Norman’s habits or personal traits is always being romantic and always being overprotected of the keys around his waist. Norman gets annoyed when Sheila always tics and he tells her and she gets mad but he thinks that he isn’t hurting anyone’s feelings he feels like he is helping
