On December 7th 1941 the Japanese imperial army bombed the United States in a surprise attack on their naval base located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The direct result caused the United States to drop two atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki from the 6th to 9th of August 1945. These two nuclear weapons literally flattened cities and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians instantly. Was a humane decision to drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. What made the United States bomb Japan. The war could have gone down a different path if the USA didn’t bomb Japan, what would the outcome have been. Were the consequences of the two bombs great or not to Japan.

The bombing took place in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, on the island of Honshu. The impact of the bombings of Hiroshima was tremendous, 170,000 civilians were the victim of the first atomic bomb, as well as another 40,000 people died in the bombing of Nagasaki. The bomb caused such intense heat it incinerated cities, buildings, people, as well as everything that was in the 2 mile radius. The bombs caused wide spread chaos, people who went into the rivers and streams, died of radiation in the water.
