One day I was sitting at my desk, like the rest of my classmates. I was towards the middle of the classroom but closer to Mrs. Sosoka’s desk. As a class, we were reading the textbook by playing popcorn. A game that we played all the time as we read. The reader would read for however long they desired. When the reader wanted to stop, they then would randomly call on another student to continue reading. The process would repeat until we reached our goal for the day. As we were reading we came across the topic of the Mayas, Aztecs, and Incas. I got confused about the topic and had a question. After we finished the reading I raised my hand intending to ask a question. As I rose my hand I was excited to hear the answer and learn more about the original Indians. I sat there for a few seconds with my hand raised until Mrs. Sosoka noticed my hand was in the air. She glanced over and gave me a dirty look, and tried to ignore me. When I did not put my hand down she looked at me, rolled her eyes, and let out a big sigh. I was confused as to why she did that. I ignored her actions and proceeded to ask my question, however, I could tell she did not want to answer my question due to her facial expressions. She was not happy and seemed annoyed that I even thought of the question. She proceeded to answer the question and quickly moved on to another topic. I was discombobulated by the whole situation. I never had a teacher be annoyed with a student for asking a question, that was related…
