Social learning theory is one of the theories of digital crime in the chapter that a researcher can use to explain the cause of the digital crime. Robert L. Burgess was first recommended by Ronald L. Akers’ practice social learning theory as an overall clarification of criminal and deviant activities. He continues to progress, exam, and improve the theory as a social psychological description of criminal and deviant behavior, and prolonged it to a Social Structure Social Learning model. While identifying with all aspects of the learning process, the theory efforts on four major clarifying concepts that portray central structures that process relevant to criminal or noncompliant behavior. The modalities of support are quantity, regularity, and likelihood. This theory focuses on social reinforcement that, not only gives feedbacks of others while an act is committed, but perceptible and imperceptible, social and cultural outcomes val-ued or disvalued. Even material rewards such as money and possessions that enable to reinforce behav-ior primarily because they remain associated with power, respect, social status, support, and other so-cially valued rewards. Self-reinforcement is also generally social because of self-control one takes the role of others, even when no one else is present, reinforcing or punishing his or her behavior. But social learning theory recognizes that nonsocial rewards and punishers can stay involved in the shaping and sustaining of behavior. For instance, the straight mental effects of drugs and alcohol (even though how pleasant or upsetting these direct effects stand experienced affected by prior learned prospects and get used to). There may also be physiological differences in the tendency of some individuals more than others to find positive deviant behavior rewarding. Individuals with low self-control are the probable result of unproductive or deprived parenting practices early in life--before the age of eight.
