One connection was observed across the texts that Mississippi Burning, Schindler’s List and the poems Dulce and Anthem had enormous amounts of emotional harm and violence in contrast to To Kill a Mockingbird which has the least.

Ward and Anderson. Tense music starts to play to set the mood of the FBI agents chasing the car. They both find the black man lying in the woods, injured. Mr. Ward goes towards him and tries to comfort him by holding him. This scene was important to show how blacks were treated by the KKK. The black man was innocent but still was beaten up by the KKK. They will randomly just pick a negro out of somewhere and torture them. This scene makes Ward emotional as he says

The way Ward’s hand was on the black man’s forehead symbolised he felt pity for him. The black man was used to illustrate the innocent blacks getting murdered in Mississippi.
The scene from Mississippi Burning connects with the court scene in To Kill a Mockingbird. The way Tom Robinson was treated by the court members for instance descriptive language by Bob Ewell, a false statement by Mayella Ewell saying that he was the one to rape her makes Dill very emotional.

Experiences like this can leave anyone in trauma. Seeing blood everywhere, land filled with corpses, soldiers choking and dying must have been flashing in his mind. Anyone who experiences this will not be able to forget this for the rest of his life. In Anthem, Owen uses rhetorical questions to get the reader thinking about the condition of soldiers
What passing bells for these who die as cattle?
The question gave the reader a clue about how the soldiers died. They were treated and killed like a cattle even though they battled for their country. There were so far from home and in such a horrific situation that the dignity of a ‘normal’ funeral was not possible. There was no opportunity to hear church bells ring.
All of the texts chosen talk about how cruel behaviour towards someone can definitely affect the other.
