Should fast food be ban in school? Some people believe that fast food should not be ban because they say that fast foods is not bad in itself. It is about the portions of the consumer, so children need to have a choice of what they can eat. However, poor eating habits developed at an early age lead to a lifetime of real health consequences. Schools are where children spend most of their time, and it is where we lay the foundation for healthy habits. Fast food affects their health and performance. In addition, fast foods do not give the necessary nutrients for children and it has high amount of calories, and fats. Moreover, fast foods are a big contributor to childhood obesity and diabetes in children. In my opinion, fast food sales should be banned in schools for several reasons. Childhood Obesity is a growing problem in the American society .Childhood obesity in the U.S schools is challenging to solve because school breakfasts and lunch programs serve unhealthy food in their cafeterias. In addition, the epidemic of child obesity is a serious issue in American society. The National Center Health Statistic (NCHS), shows that 17% of children between the ages of six to seventeen are overweight and the rate is tripled from one generation ago. Today 13 million American children are obese. So schools should ban fast food from their cafeterias and stop permitting unhealthy food vending machines in order to reduce children’s future health consequences. In addition, with…
