A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Love can be known to be crazy and complicated. love has many different aspects to it and it can be understood to be magical and a beautiful thing, as well as vise versa. love is known to have many powers and Shakespeare is very interested in both magic itself and love. These two things in A Midsummer Night's Dream are greatly connected. This is why I think that the magical and surreal world Shakespeare creates in his play, reflects the almost supernatural power of love. The things that he creates within his text to embody this are the love potion, the "dreams", the double worlds, and the forests.

The magical understanding of "dreams" ( from the potion) shows that love can be dream like. When Oberon is trying to steal the Indian boy fro Tatania and she doesn't give it up he makes her believe that she is having affair with Bottom. Causing her love to feel dreamlike. "My Oberon, what visions have I seen, me that I was enamored of an ass" (4.1.196-197) as you can see the potion that possessed Tatania made her dream and or think that she was in love with an ass which was all apart of Oberon's plan to get back at her for not giving him the Indian boy. The same happens when bottom wakes up after having his head trans formed into and ass an Tatania was in love with him "Methought I was-there is no man can tell what. Methought I was-and methought I had- but man is but a patched fool if he will offer to say what me though I had." (4.1.211-214) the potion is this whole situation with Tatania and Bottom has both confused and made them feel or
