Laurie Rimon found a shiny gold object while she was hiking. The coin was in Eastern Galilee. It is told that the coin was close was near the area from when Jesus walked on water and multiplied the bread and fish. Laurie turned it over to the Israel Antiquities Authority. Laurie believed it was a miracle.
Finding the coin really was a miracle because the coin turned out to be a Roman coin. The coin has Caesar Augustus face on it. Augustus ruled from 27 BC to AD 14. This was during the time of Jesus. This brought up a question. The question was “What was the Roman Coin doing near the sea of Galilee?”
