Throughout Macbeth, the story develops many claims. The claim I will analyze is, having or wanting too much power will lead to insanity. This is important because one can clearly see how Lady Macbeth has a strong desire for power, and that leads to her slowly going crazy. One can then see how Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth into committing crimes in order to have more power, which develops into the both of them having their mental state slowly spiral out of control. Finally we can see that this claim is developed when Macbeth finally feels the guilt of what he did and slowly becomes insane, which leads to his downfall.
