The offender is confronted by a harsh reality, one that depicts how their actions and behaviors have negatively impacted others. Those that have been victimized are joined with peers, communicating concerns and intentions for seeking justice. Educational systems have begun to move forward, adopting new methodologies that address student misconduct, thus rejecting past suspension protocols. Offenders are provided with a unique opportunity, one that focuses on learning as opposed to punishing. An anti-bullying team is established, which consists of the following members, the bully and other students who have been deemed leaders by the victim. Once an anti-bullying team has been created they are informed that one of their peers is being bullied; the victim identification is provided to the team. It is imperative to note that official identity of the bully is not disclosed to the anti-bullying team. The anti-bullying team has been instructed to protect and standup for the victim, therefore decreasing the likelihood the victim will continue to be bullied. Once the victim has expressed he or she is no longer being bullied at school the anti-bullying team is rewarded; in some cases a ceremony is held to honor the anti-bullying
