Although there are many beliefs of what being in prison can do for you, many people do not know that being in prison has its pros and cons for prisoners and citizens of the U.S. Those who are incarcerated will begin to have a tremendous amount of time to sit back in think of ways to improve their behavior. With prisoners being incarcerated the citizens of America now can relax or be less worried about crimes in their country. Both statements above is an example of a pro for being in prison, for both prisoners and the citizens of America. Also, when prisoners are incarcerated, they are “looked at from a different perspective.. they are not considered your typical citizens anymore” so this causes you to relax and not worry about certain things (Hewett).
