Pneumonia is the leading infectious cause of death in children worldwide, accounting for fifteen percent of all deaths of children under 5 years old. It is also the a diseases that is a bacteria, a virus, and a mycoplasma. The disease cases and number of deaths caused by pneumonia increases every year. Many factors affect how serious pneumonia is, such as the type of germ causing the infection , the age, and overall health. It is another type of bacteria/virus disease that could harm the immune system. Pneumonia is the lung inflammation caused by bacterial or viral infection, in which the air sacs fill with pus and may become solid.
Pneumonia is an infection in one or both lung. This infection can be caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses. Pneumonia causes inflammation in the lung’s air sacs, or alveoli. The alveoli fill with unwanted fluids or pus, making it difficult to breath. The person cannot get enough oxygen into the bloodstream to meet the needs of body tissues. In addition, the disease organisms responsible for most cases of pneumonia can spread from the lungs into the bloodstream and infect other vital organs, thus causing the person 's death. There are three main types of pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, viral pneumonia, and mycoplasma pneumonia. Each having its own unique way of spreading into the human body and harming its lungs.
