Strikes occur when employees get fed up on how management treat them. Strikes cause a work stoppage where employees refusal to work. Employee grievance causes the most common strikes. Strikes became popular during the industrial era. In some countries, strikes are illegal because industrial owners have more power over workers. Chinese authorities have work to put a stoppage on workers joining unions. Therefore, Chinese officials forbid workers to join labor unions but want employees to think about joining the All-China Federation of Trade Union. The ACFTU organization is to mediate labor disputes; however, management gets to pick who can sit at the bargaining table with them.
Furthermore, officials put a shutdown on social media, closing down accounts of labor activists, deleting news about strikes and picketing protest. Nonprofits labor rights have sought out ways to help employees to negotiate contracts and prolong solidarity agreement during strikes. These picketing and strikes bring acknowledgment to the government to bring awareness to business owners to collectively negotiate employment grievance.
