As I made it up to the front doorstep, the car sped out of the garage. I fumbled around for my keys, but they weren't in my pocket anymore. I reached into the potted plant where I usually kept my spare key. I pulled out the key and swiftly put it in the lock, twisting to the left. I snatched the key out of the door and flung the door open as fast as I could. I stepped over the threshold only to find that everything was different.
